Hello World.

Now is a great time to bring a introduction to myself and my photography work. If you’ve followed my work for sometime, welcome back. For those who are just seeing my website for the first time, I hope you enjoy what you’ve seen so far.

My name is Travis Houze (yes, that is my real last name) and I am a photographer in the Washington DC metro area. Some days I present my images with a specific color palette (various shades of red and burgundy tend to popup alot), and some days I tend to shoot in a black and white Cairoscuro style (just a fancy word for the study of a lighter object surrounded against a dark background).

I’ve been a college graduate for 3 years so far, and have spent most of that time a freelance photographer. In that timeframe, I’ve been fortunate to shoot musical events in popular venues in the area, portraits for models or just family memorabilia and even some promotional stuff that made it to some musicians album and single covers for distribution.

Over the time, I will post full sets of shoots I’ve done over time and a couple behind the scenes, and even do a little Q&A sooner than later.
